Players Groups

Students are selected from advanced classes and from private lessons to fill our player's groups. These are the students that show the passion for the game. Or the student that has the ability to process the information. It may be a student that displays certain work ethics, or one that has shown exceptional playing skills. These are the students that make up our most advanced group instruction. Tom Carlson and his staff teach this extraordinary and widely diverse group of children. These children have what it takes to be great players. A great player has a certain make-up, and in this group we try our best to develop that special gift. Age is not a barrier in this group. Students in this program have ranged from five to seventeen. Helping this special talent to mold into its potential has been what has driven Tom Carlson for the past thirty-five years of teaching. This is truly a life and educational experience.

As of February 2010 we now have three levels in our Player's groups. We will offer Intro to Playing, our traditional Player's groups, and Tom's Team. Tom has created a new level above our playing levels by selecting students who have proven they have not only the early talent but the desire and driving force necessary to get to the top. These are students who work on their game at a very high level each week. They practice, play and compete more than other students their age and have earned the honor of becoming members of Tom's Team.
