Adult Group Lessons
 

Tom Carlson’s Summerlin Golf Academy announces the opening of our adult golf program. Tom and his staff will share the knowledge which has created one of the most successful Junior Academy’s in the world at an unbelievable value to you.
 

SGA will offer group and or private lessons both weekday’s and weekends. We will even offer some adult classes at the same time your son or daughter is enrolled in the Junior Academy. We promise the group class size will never exceed a four to one ratio in our adult groups.

Five Adult Group Lessons: $225

Introductory Level: Tiger Paws
 

This is a very special entry level program for our youngest students. The program is only offered at certain times of the year. Students in this program range in age from five to seven. The student ratio is three or four children to every instructor. Parents, please understand the student’s age when observing this class. Golf is a highly trained motor skill. BE PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING !!! The class is taught by Tom Carlson’s staff.
 

Introductory Level: First Swing
 

This level of instruction introduces the player to the proper fundamentals. These fundamentals will allow the student to progress at his or her own pace. Set-up and balance are the main objectives. In addition we will introduce the student to chipping and putting as well as the full swing. The student teacher ratio in this entry level program will not exceed five children to each instructor. To move to a more advanced program the student must be able to perform certain tasks. Parents, please understand your child will only progress with knowledge, time and practice. Not all children progress at the same speed, so be patient, understanding, and let the instructor do the teaching. The members of Tom Carlson’s staff will run this program. This program is offered to children ages seven and older.
 

Advanced Level
 

Our advanced students have progressed to this level from our entry level program. Exceptions are made for older students who have attended one of our summer camps or have been approved by SJGA through taking a private lesson to evaluate positions and knowledge. Students at this level are expected to practice regularly. Golf is no different than piano lessons, soccer, baseball or any other activity. To excel you must understand positions and PRACTICE. This program will be taught by Tom Carlson’s most experienced staff members. Video taping students, class room sessions, and more difficult information will be shared with the students at this level. Progress will be monitored and students from this group will be invited to our Players Groups.
